To those who may be inconvenienced by these new policies, we deeply apologize. The Prancing Poodle takes being part of a community seriously, and that means doing our best ensure the safety and well-being of both our two and four legged clients. This change in scheduling means that we have certain expectations of ALL our clients, with no exceptions.
At this time, an appointment will be required for all walk-in services.
In addition, we will be switching to “staggered scheduling” to limit the amount of people in our salon at one time. Please keep in mind that this type of scheduling means that The Prancing Poodle will have to cut back on the number of pets we can be of service to in a day. Please be understanding when scheduling or rescheduling your appointment as wait times will likely be longer.
For the time being, we will not be able to accommodate early drop offs or late pick ups. Given the loss of efficiency, arriving outside of your given appointment time may put yourself and other clients at risk, as it may cause your appointment to overlap with the next client’s check in and/or check out. Fees will strictly be enforced for lateness and no-shows. If you or a member of your household are feeling even the slightest bit unwell, flu-like symptoms or not, we kindly ask that you reschedule your appointment for a later date. You will not be charged a late cancellation fee due to illness.
Upon completion of your pet’s groom, you will be notified via phone call or text message. You will be required to pick up your pet within 60 minutes, please be prepared for your pickup time. You may send someone you trust (a friend, neighbor, or family member) to retrieve your pet if you are not able to make it within the 60 minute window. We can send an invoice for services rendered via text or email if someone else needs to pick up.
We are still accepting cash, checks, and all major credit cards through our register. Additionally, being electronically invoiced via email an option available to all clients.
We will continue to diligently use our veterinary grade disinfectants that kill viruses, bacteria, fungi, mold and mildew. Our cleaners effectively provide area control of staph, salmonella, E. coli, MRSA, bordetella bronchiseptica, canine distemper, SARS-associated Coronavirus, Human Coronavirus, Herpes Simplex Virus Type 1, Herpes Simplex Virus Type 2, Influenza A H1N1 virus, rabies, pseudorabies, streptococcus, canine parvovirus. This list goes on. If you would like more information regarding our cleaning products we would be more than happy to answer any of your questions.
